Whenever an entrepreneur starts a new business, there are some permits and registrations which must be procured to conduct the business legally. These are mandatory for the business to operate. One such permit is the Shop Act Licence. Any citizen of Maharashtra who wishes to open a new shop or any commercial establishment and wants to commence their business within the jurisdiction of the Government of Maharashtra, has to register itself under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service)  Act, 2017.
