What is the MSME TEAM Initiative? A Complete Guide for MSMEs

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of India’s economy, contributing nearly 30% to the GDP and employing millions. However, many small businesses struggle to transition into the digital space due to financial and operational challenges. To address this, the government has introduced the MSME TEAM Initiative, a major step towards empowering small businesses through digital commerce.

The MSME TEAM Initiative is designed to help small businesses integrate with the ONDC platform, making it easier for them to sell online. This initiative, with a budget of ₹277.35 crore, aims to onboard 5 lakh MSMEs, including 50% women-led enterprises. It focuses on financial assistance, training, and digital marketing support to help small businesses grow. Read more about how market linkages can transform MSMEs here.
