A Beauty-full Dream

Snehal Pote recognised her talent as a beautician at a very young age and started her own salon – ‘Shalvis Beauty Services’ 2 years ago at Nanded city. Just when her dreams were soaring up in the sky, the world was hit by the Covid – 19 pandemic. Just like thousands of entrepreneurs, Snehal’s business too hit a major setback. 

Realigning Her Goals

Unfazed by the setback, Snehal started the journey anew. She decided to redecorate her parlour to attract customers. This was not possible without funds. This is when deAsra came into the picture. With deAsra’s Emergency MSME Loan provided for affected small businesses, she received the loan and got started with the 2nd innings of her business. 

Some of the services she offers include makeup, facials and massages. During the lockdown, she faced all the difficulties that all the beauty salons faced. She had to curtail down on many expenses including her team members’ salaries. But she stood up firmly and decided to face this.

She stuck around and used all the techniques to increase her customer base. She has carved a niche for herself in a short period of time and with deAsra’s guidance, has hired 2 staff members. Snehal is now planning to redecorate her salon and expand her clientele. Her salon, in Nanded city, is on the path of progress.

Marching Up & Above

After receiving a positive response from the customers regarding her service and the precautionary measures taken by Shalvi’s Salon, she decided to expand her business. Snehal has now hired 2 women to help her in her parlour. Not only is she on the path of progress and success but is also guiding other women to join her. 

Snehal’s journey has not only helped her become an independent businesswoman but has also provided work for other women in need.
